Student Direction Team | Student Production Team | Stage Management Team
Applications are now open for a range of roles within Star Struck 2026 – Out of the Ordinary.
These teams play an essential role in supporting rehearsals, performances and the overall delivery of our large-scale arena production. They provide valuable hands-on experience, leadership development and insight into professional creative and event environments.
Applications close Friday 6 March 2026 at 5:00pm
All applications must be submitted via the relevant online form.
Student Direction Team (Years 9–11 in 2026)
The Student Direction Team works alongside our core creative teams in:
Dance
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Dance
Drama
Music
This is a leadership opportunity for students who have previously participated in Star Struck and are ready to support rehearsals, guide peers and contribute creatively within a professional production environment.
Ideal applicants will demonstrate:
Strong creative and technical skills in their discipline
Confidence supporting students of varying abilities
Understanding of arena-style staging and performance techniques
Ability to respond to feedback and refine ideas
Strong teamwork and communication skills

Student Production Team (Year 10+ in 2026)
The Student Production Team provides hands-on experience in live event production and backstage operations. Students work alongside industry professionals and the Star Struck technical crew.
Roles may include:
Follow Spot
Sound
Tunnel
Props & Staging
Exhibition Centre / Holding Areas
No prior large-scale production experience is required — enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn are essential.
Priority consideration may be given to students studying VET Entertainment Industry who require work placement hours.

Stage Management Team (Teachers & Volunteers)
Applications are also open for Department of Education teachers, school staff and approved volunteers interested in joining the Star Struck 2026 Stage Management Team.
Team members support rehearsals and show week in key operational roles such as:
Assistant Stage Manager
Student VET Team Coordinator
Props & Staging
Tunnels
Holding Areas
Holding Area Announcer
Applicants must:
Hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Provide WWCC details at the time of application
Be available for key rehearsal and show week dates
Be confident working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
